RICS APC Process
Below is a brief outline of the key stages and milestones through a typical Graduate Route 1 candidates 24 month
training period for the APC 2006 Guides.

- Discuss with your employer, supervisor and counsellor
- Obtain Approval of your Structured Training Agreement
- Send off your Application
(You should not start the APC/ATC process without getting hold of a copy of the Rules of Conduct. You are bound to the Rules from when you become associated with the RICS (Student membership onwards). The APC/ATC Final Assessment is where your knowledge of the Rules WILL be tested).

Month 1
Specifics:
- Confirmation from RICS that you have been accepted on the APC process
- Induction meeting with supervisor and counsellor and discuss next steps
- Candidate take onboard and run the APC process (it is your career!)
- Start recording diary, log book, professional development
- Discuss Rules of Conduct & Ethics (structured learning)
